H1N1 My experiences

Our news seems to be bombarding mothers with the bad news about H1N1, get the vaccine, baby dies overnight, healthy boy quickly sick and passes away. Hearing this news is awful, alarming and continues ones difficult decision to vaccinate or not to... so I would like to share my experiences with H1N1 to start giving another side to this illness.

ECZEMA

COLDS

I like the information on colds in now you know, I do the socks treatment and it does work! I find the earlier I introduced it to my kids the more accepting they were of it. 

BREASTFEEDING

 Thank you for the information on other options when you can't breastfeed. When I had my third child I was faced with not being able to breastfeed and it was a very hard time for me. I felt like I wasn't able to give the best to my baby boy.He is now five and is doing great and I have realized that we do the best we can, with what life brings us. My little psychology babble... anyways thank you, because other options are important to hear about... it is rarely talked about and it's important we talk about all our options. 

Baby Acne

I just wanted to share my story about my child's experience with baby acne which turned into eczema. My little boy started to get baby acne at 5 weeks old and in time it turned into eczema after taking him to different doctors that all recommended steroid creams or to just let it be I finally saw a Naturopath. Since I was breast-feeding, I changed my diet and was off gluten, increased my omega 3 oils and acidophilus and his condition cleared up!

MEDICAL DOCTORS

 I would really like to understand why...

...why do most medical doctors not understand the relationship between Food and Health

...why do they think natural remedies are unfounded information with no bases in science

...why do they not want to understand the source of my child's ailment

HOW are we going to get to the truth if our doctors are not studying and researching information other then what pharma companies are preaching?

CHLORELLA

Just thought I would help with your question on Chlorella... there are quite a few good brands out there, but I would say to buy only at a health food store or larger health conscious grocery chain such as Choices or Whole Foods... they have all been very good to deal with and seem to understand all the brands they carry. Hope that helps you a bit?

VACCINATION

  I hope someone posts on some good BC Doctors that understand some of the concerns with vaccinations as it's such a hard decision to make. I feel like most of them just relay what they been taught by a pharmecutical company.

Suggestions for Vaccine-Friendly Doctors in Vancouver

I have a 3 month old daughter and am having a really hard time with the decisions on which vaccines to do/when.  I am reading "The Vaccine Book", by Dr. Robert W. Sears and am finding it very useful, but am having a really hard time with the Public Health Centres in regards to doing anything BUT their schedules.  Does anyone have any recommendations for vaccine-friendly doctors?... help!
