ORGANIC FRUITS AND VEGGIES

Sometimes it's hard to always buy organic. I find the fruit or vegetable may not be available in organic or it looks awful and near it's due date. When choosing your fruits and vegetables it helps to know the ones to stay clear of.

Environmental Working Group as published a new Shopper's Guide to help you in your choices. The top six to avoid were, peaches, apples, bell peppers, nectarines, celery and strawberries. It is especially important to be careful of harmful pesticides when you are pregnant and for young developing children. Pesticides have been noted to have a variety of toxic effects including: nervous system effects, carcinogenic effects, hormone effects and skin eye and ling irritations (as noted by EWG www.foodnews.org/reduce.php)
