John Hopkins has put forward an excellent article on the importance of whole foods in preventing cancer. Wonderful to see information such as this coming from the medical community. This article is a must read. I will highlight some of the key points for you: 

- Chronic inflammation is being linked to diseases such as cancer.

- Ginger is excellent for food and gut disorders.

- Food plays an excellent role in how people fight cancers, 80% of cancer patients are malnourished.

- The average american consumes about 100 grams of fructose a day while our bodies can only handle about 50 grams.

- Asian men have far less prostate cancer then American men. Every prostate removed from non-cancerous American men showed signs of inflammation while Asian's prostates were pristine. 

- The amount of cooking done to our meat, chicken and fish can cause cancer causing properties, it's better to broil or poach in the case of fish.
